Terms of Service

Effective

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set the basic rules for using PlaySnack (the “Service”, operated by PlaySnack, an individually run service).

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. “User”: anyone who visits the Service to play, join a room, or make an app or quiz
  2. “Room”: a space where several people play together through a link or code — friends rooms, PIN rooms and event rooms
  3. “Organizer”: the user who opened a room or event room
  4. “Pass”: a paid product that lets you open big rooms for events and streams for a set period
  5. “User content”: anything a user enters or makes on the Service — nicknames, quiz and poll questions and options, drawings, guesses, made apps, event names

Article 3 (Effect and changes)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service.
  2. We announce changes on the Service 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
  3. If you do not agree with the changes, you may stop using the Service.

Article 4 (The Service)

  1. The Service offers short games you play alone or together through a link (quizzes, polls, World Cups, reaction games and more) and tools to make your own apps and quizzes.
  2. The Service is free and needs no sign-up. Friends rooms are free for up to 10 people. Bigger rooms, for events and streams, open with a paid pass (Article 5).
  3. Rooms are made to be brief. Nicknames, scores and game input in a room are deleted when the last person leaves, and a friends-room result can be viewed again for 7 days.
  4. Content such as daily questions and song charts is refreshed regularly.

Article 5 (Paid passes)

  1. Each pass’s price, number of people, rooms open at once and length are as shown on the pricing page. Today there are Day pass S (US$9), Day pass L (US$49) and the 30-day pass (US$19).
  2. A pass is a one-time payment in US dollars (USD). There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
  3. Passes are sold through our reseller Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record: it is the seller of record and handles payment, receipts and taxes. Lemon Squeezy’s terms also apply to your payment.
  4. Price changes do not affect passes you have already bought.
  5. These Terms apply in the same way to rooms opened with a pass.

Article 6 (Refunds)

  1. If you have not used your pass yet, we give a full refund. Email [email protected] with your order number or the email you bought with.
  2. Once a pass has been used, it cannot be refunded, except where the law requires a refund.
  3. Refunds go back through Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. It can take a few days to show, depending on your card issuer.

Article 7 (User content)

  1. Rights in and responsibility for user content stay with the user who made it.
  2. You allow the Service to show your content to the people in the room, to let it be shared by link, and to store and display it as needed to run the Service.
  3. A shared app carries its content inside the link, so anyone with the link can open it. A friends-room result can be seen by anyone with the room link (and the PIN for a PIN room). Please keep this in mind when sharing.
  4. Use other people’s works (photos, text, music) only when you have the right to.

Article 8 (Reports)

  1. If you see content or use that breaks these Terms or the law, email [email protected]. Including the room link or a screenshot helps us check quickly.
  2. We check every report and reply within 7 days.
  3. If you claim a rights violation (defamation, copyright, etc.), please include the details and how to reach you.

Article 9 (Prohibited conduct)

Users must not:

  1. Impersonate others or post others’ personal information (real names, contacts, photos) without consent
  2. Post abusive, hateful, discriminatory, harassing or sexual content, or illegal information
  3. Infringe others’ copyrights, trademarks or other rights
  4. Flood the Service with automated requests, guess PINs or codes, or bypass security measures
  5. Use the Service for advertising, spam or fraud
  6. Do anything else contrary to law or public order

Article 10 (Changes and suspension)

  1. The Service may change features or stop part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.
  2. Making or joining rooms may be limited for a while due to maintenance, outages, traffic spikes or free-tier limits.
  3. If the whole Service ends, we will announce it on the Service 30 days in advance.

Article 11 (Limitation of liability)

  1. The Service is not liable for losses caused by events outside its control, such as natural disasters, network failures or outages at outside providers (such as hosting).
  2. User content and disputes between users are the responsibility of the users involved.
  3. The Service is not liable for records lost when a room closes or the 7-day result period ends.
  4. This does not apply to losses caused by the Service’s intent or gross negligence.

Article 12 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum

These Terms take effect on October 30, 2026.
